Liberal Propaganda…
So I got this email from my gandmother…
To put it as nicely as possible, when it comes to politics, we don’t quite see eye to eye. Now, she sent me a link to this “Born Again American” site. Give me a break; this is some serious liberal propaganda. I was able to get the lyrics to their theme song, and here they are:
Just a workin’ man without a job
It got shipped off to China via Washington, D.C.
And I know I’m nothin’ special, there are plenty more like me
Just the same
I thought I knew the rules of the game
I stood up for this country that I love
I came back from the desert to a wife and kids to feed
I’m not sayin’ Uncle Sam should give me what I need
My offer stands
I’ll pull my weight you give me half a chanceI went up to a congressman and said to him “you know
Our government is letting people down”
He said he’d need a lot of help to buck the status-quo
I said there was a bunch of us aroundI’m a Born Again American, conceived in Liberty
My Bible and the Bill of Rights, my creed’s equality
I’m a Born Again American, my country ‘tis of me
And everyone who shares the dream from sea to shining seaMy brother’s welding chassis at the plant
He’s earning what our granddad did in 1948
While CEOs count bonuses behind the castle gates
How can they see
When all they care about’s the do re miIt’s getting where there’s nowhere left to turn
Not since the crash of twenty-nine have things been so unfair
So many of our citizens are living in despair
The time has come
To reaffirm that hope’s not just for someThe promise of America’s surrendering to greed
The rule is just look out for number one
But brace yourself ‘cause some of us have sown a different seed
A harvest of the spirit has begunI’m a Born Again American conceived in liberty
My Bible and The Bill Of Rights
My creed’s equality
A Born Again American, my country ‘tis of me
And everyone who shares the dream from sea to shining seaIt’s clear my country’s soul is on the line
She’s hungering for something that she lost along the way
The principle the framers called upon us to obey
That in this land
The people’s will must have the upper handI felt the calling once before and took a sacred vow
And faithful to that vow I have remained
I hear the calling once again, my country needs me now
And to her cause I have been re-ordainedI’m a Born Again American conceived in liberty
My Bible and the Bill Of Rights, all people living free
A Born Again American, my country ‘tis of me
And everyone who shares the dream
From sea to shining sea
And everyone who shares the dream
From sea to shining sea

This is a call to socialism under the guise of Liberty. There are key terms that give it away every time, words like: Unfair, Greed, Equality. The libs are always whining about how the free market just isn’t fair, that those people who have worked hard and become successful are just greedy, and how we all need to be equal. If that’s not enough to convince you that these folks are liberals and socialists, look at the guy who started it, Norman Lear. Now I know it’s Wikipedia and that is the most reliable, check furhter into if you like that was just the most quickly accessable. Any way the important thing to see on that page is this: In addition to his success as a TV producer and businessman, Lear is an outspoken supporter of First Amendment and liberal causes. The only time that he didn’t support a Democrat was in 1980 when he voted for John Anderson because he considered the Carter administration to be “a disaster”. The guys is a liberal, of course he is going to support the liberal ideals.
Let’s look closer at the lyrics; they mention the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence, but not the Constitution. I wonder why that is? Because they, like good old Barry, think it is fundamentally flawed. They want you to believe that where the Declaration says, “We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal…” that the framers meant that to mean all forms of equality, including financial, and to the degree that the Gov. lets some people be rich and others not, they are wrong. Unfortunately, even if that was the case, the US Constitution is the law of the land, not the Declaration. Further, tell me, where in any of those documents are any of us guaranteed jobs? The only complaints in the song are: job loss, lack of employment opportunities, and low wages. Tell me, where are jobs, a booming job market, and high wages guaranteed in the Constitution, in the Declaration? No where that’s where! Those are not rights, the USFG does not owe you people jobs, they owe you higher wages, that is the market we live by. If they claim to be all about what the Constitution and Declaration say, then they must live in a free market society and thus have no grounds for their position. What a bunch of crap.

That song cracks me up.
On the one hand, liberals are the ones always accusing conservatives of being against progress. If only conservatives would get with the progressive movement, then we wouldn’t have all this hoop-la about gay marriage. If only conservatives would think more progressively, then we could get a ban on smoking and bad things and the country would have a better future.
On the other hand, liberals have a vision of the American economy as though it were this zero sum game, AND that the economy does not grow or change. OF COURSE manufacturing jobs are the way of the past: Americans are far more educated and wealthier than EVER before. No American is going to settle for “just welding chassies”; rather, with a college degree or two, an American is going to design a better chassy, and send a manufacturing job to a third world country. (This is not to denigrate blue collar work, though; blue collar workers are the people who make this country WORK… who make America, well AMERICA!)
Fastidious
I was listening to Rush yesterday between 2 schools and he hit the nail on the head again. He had a caller that said he would like to make between $200,000-$250,000. He said that would be a fair wage. Rush asked him why wasn’t making now. Rush told him that it was his fault that he didn’t make make that now. The guy got pissed and haung up. It is the truth. The only person holding us back from making more money is ourselves. This is America and we have the choice to make our lives what we want. It is not the governments choice. If you lose your job for whatever reason, get off your ass and get another one.
Hey Grizz,
Thanks for the post! I couldn’t agree more, this is the land of opportunity, after all, we did elect a black president.
